Quick recap

A year later, the Fused invade Urithiru and the tower loses its defenses. Navani, a prisoner, studies light with the Fused Raboniel and discovers a light that can destroy Fused and spren for good. Kaladin, pulled from the front, holds out alone in the occupied tower alongside Teft, who dies. Shattered, he gets a vision of his brother Tien, swears the Fourth Ideal and saves his father, Lirin. Navani bonds the tower's spren, becomes a Bondsmith and kills Raboniel at her request. In Shadesmar, the honorspren acquit Adolin. Shallan pulls her personas together. Taravangian kills Odium's vessel and takes his place. Dalinar sets a contest of champions with Odium.

    The working title was The Song of Changes. Sanderson said it was never meant to be the final title.

    Sanderson started writing in January 2019 and turned in the manuscript on July 12, 2020. It runs about 460,000 words, a bit longer than Oathbringer.
