Quick recap

Lift, a girl who lives on stolen food, runs off from Azir's capital with her spren Wyndle and reaches the city of Yeddaw. She learns that a hunter she calls Darkness is killing people who start gaining powers. His next target is the Stump, an orphanage keeper who acts tough and secretly heals the children. Lift tries to protect her, faces Darkness and, to save the wounded Stump, swears a new oath: to listen to those who have been ignored. She shows Darkness that the Everstorm has already arrived and that killing the new knights no longer makes sense. He leaves, shaken. Lift heals the Stump and heads back to Azir.
