Rogue One

Scientist Galen Erso is forced by Director Orson Krennic to build the Death Star, while his daughter, Jyn, grows up under the extremist Saw Gerrera. Years later, the Rebel Alliance recruits Jyn, along with spy Cassian Andor and the droid K-2SO, because defecting pilot Bodhi Rook carries a message from Galen. In it, Galen reveals he hid a fatal flaw in the design. On Jedha, they pick up Chirrut Îmwe and Baze Malbus, and the Death Star wipes out the city in a test. Galen dies on Eadu. Without the Rebel Council's backing, the team raids Scarif to steal the plans. They all die, but the plans are transmitted to the rebel fleet. Vader chases the ship, and the plans end up with Princess Leia.
