Quick recap

Right after the medal ceremony, Leia learns the Empire is hunting Alderaan's survivors across the galaxy. With a bounty on her head and kept off the front lines, she slips away with pilot Evaan Verlaine and R2-D2 to gather what's left of her people. The trip runs through Naboo, where a betrayal corners her, and Sullust, where Nien Nunb helps out. An Alderaanian who has sided with the Empire makes everything harder. The volume ends with the battle won, Leia heading back to the Rebellion and backing Evaan as a candidate when the Alderaanians choose a new princess.
