Quick recap

Shortly before The Force Awakens, Leia sends Poe Dameron on a secret mission: find explorer Lor San Tekka before the First Order does. Poe sets off in his X-wing with BB-8 and Black Squadron, pilots Snap Wexley, Karé Kun, L'ulo L'ampar and Jessika Pava. The search takes them to strange worlds and to a cult guarding a mysterious egg. Along the way comes Agent Terex, a First Order officer who becomes Poe's worst enemy. The volume ends with Poe gaining a personal nemesis and the search for Lor San Tekka still open.
