In 2379, Riker and Troi get married, and Riker gets ready to take his own ship. On the way, the Enterprise finds the pieces of B-4, an older android brother of Data, on a planet. After the Romulan senate is wiped out in a coup, the ship is called to Romulus to negotiate with the new praetor, Shinzon. Shinzon is a clone of Picard, made by the Romulans and thrown into the mines of Remus. He also plans to wipe out Earth with the thalaron radiation of his ship, the Scimitar. In the final battle, Picard rams the Enterprise into the Scimitar and kills Shinzon. Data saves Picard and sacrifices himself to destroy the weapon. Saying goodbye, Picard learns Data left his memories in B-4.
