Quick recap

An animated comedy about the USS Cerritos, one of Starfleet's least important ships. The focus isn't the bridge but the junior ensigns: by-the-book Brad Boimler, rebellious Beckett Mariner, Orion medic D'Vana Tendi and engineer Sam Rutherford, who has a cybernetic implant. Early on, we learn Mariner is Captain Carol Freeman's daughter. Over five seasons, the ship takes on the Pakleds, Freeman is accused of a crime she didn't commit, and Mariner has to face her past. In the final season, rifts between universes threaten the multiverse. In the end, Ransom becomes captain of the Cerritos, and Boimler and Mariner become provisional first officers, heading out to explore other realities.
