Quick recap

Spring 1811. Sharpe blows a French bridge on the Guadiana for young Brigadier Moon, escapes with Harper and a few men and takes a musket ball to the head. His men carry him to Cádiz, the last big Spanish city still holding out. There, ambassador Henry Wellesley asks him to recover love letters a pimp and a murderous priest are using to blackmail him, and Sharpe steals them with the riflemen. An Anglo-Spanish force hits the besiegers from behind, but Spanish general Lapeña squanders every chance, and Graham's British win at Barrosa nearly alone. A French eagle is taken, and Sharpe captures Colonel Vandal. The inquiry against him is dropped, and the riflemen finally ship out to rejoin the army.
