Quick recap

Young professor Robert Langdon heads to Washington to give a talk at the request of his mentor, Peter Solomon. At the Capitol, he finds Peter's severed hand. The kidnapper, Mal'akh, demands that Langdon crack a Masonic secret hidden around the city. Langdon teams up with Katherine Solomon, Peter's daughter and his ex, while Inoue Sato's CIA and officer Alfonso Nuñez join the hunt. Peter is rescued, and Mal'akh turns out to be Zachary, Katherine's brother, long thought dead. In the end, beneath the Washington Monument, Nuñez disables the villain's device and Katherine stabs him. Langdon concludes the quest was symbolic. The series was canceled after this season.
