Later, Mewtwo lures strong Trainers to New Island, Ash, Misty and Brock included, takes their Pokémon and makes stronger clones. Mew shows up and the two start an endless fight, with originals and clones hurting each other. Ash leaps between their attacks and is turned to stone. The Pokémon's tears bring him back.
