Quick recap

Two years later, Red heads off to answer a mysterious challenge and vanishes. Only his Pikachu makes it back, hurt, to Professor Oak's lab. Yellow, a kid from Viridian Forest with a gift for sensing and healing Pokémon, takes the Pikachu and searches Kanto for Red. The hunt runs straight into the Elite Four, led by Lance, who want a paradise for Pokémon by wiping out most of humanity. Blue, Green, Bill and several former rival Gym Leaders band together to fight back. The showdown comes on Cerise Island: the Elite Four fall, Yellow defeats Lance, Red reunites with his Pikachu, and a mysterious Pokémon appears and flies west.
