Quick recap

Untherak is the last inhabited place in the world. Humans, dwarves, giants, sinfos, kaorshs and gnolls live there under the goddess Una and the heavy hand of General Proghon, and even the color red is banned. A rebel group led by a mysterious figure gathers allies who don't fit together: the kaorsh Raazi, the falconer Aelian, the sinfo musician Ziggy and Harun, who sees his grandfather's ghost. Raazi wins the Festival of Death, and the group reaches the seat of power. In the end, Raazi and Yanisha expose the goddess Una as a fraud. The uprising that follows is crushed by the army, and Proghon takes the throne. The survivors are driven through the North Gate into the Degradação desert, and Aelian escapes alone.

  3. Behind the scenesWhy red is banned

  4. ReferenceFantasy away from Europe

The names and races steer clear of the usual European fantasy. Castilho said he drew more on the Ottoman, Byzantine and Persian empires.
