Filler arc outside the main story, set in a period version of Japan. Boss Luffy and his partners get Franky to build a mikoshi for a race with a prize of one million berries. The Thriller company, run by Hogback, Perona and Absalom, sabotages the rivals. The group meets Brook, who has lost his memory and fled Thriller, and decides to help him. After rescuing Brook, they rebuild the mikoshi in the shape of the Thousand Sunny and win. The prize goes to pay for the damage, and the final treasure is a gag that costs Brook his memory all over again.
