The first One Piece animation, a 1998 OVA made by Production I.G and directed by Goro Taniguchi, shown at the Jump Super Anime Tour before the TV series. With a different voice cast, it's set between Orange Town and Syrup Village, with only Luffy, Zoro and Nami aboard. They land on an island terrorized by the pirate Ganzack and decide to take him on. Luffy brings Ganzack down, frees the island and the trio sails on. Non-canon, it's a curiosity showing what the anime almost was.
