Filler arc. The Kage send Naruto on a so-called secret boat mission with Yamato, Guy and Aoba, without telling him the plan is to keep him out of the war. The trip turns into a string of stops: Naruto helps a fisherman land a giant marlin, fights a skeleton crab and pirates, and runs into an impostor using his name. Along the way, standalone episodes spotlight Rock Lee, Tenten, Sai, Team Asuma, Kiba and Shino. In the end, Naruto talks Mist deserters into dropping their grudge and promises a world at peace, until a rescue boat from the Land of Lightning arrives.
