An adaptation of the Itachi novel. It follows the boy who saw war far too early, became the Uchiha clan's prodigy, found a friend in Shisui and joined the ANBU. Torn between his clan, which is plotting a coup, and the village, Itachi accepts the order to wipe out his own family, spares Sasuke and leaves for the Akatsuki.
