An ordinary morning in the Uchiha home, years before the series. Itachi decides to make his little brother breakfast and gets fixated on cooking the perfect fried egg, yolk done just right. He messes up, tosses it, and starts over, again and again, with the same focus he'd give a jutsu. Sasuke watches without understanding why anyone would try that hard over an egg. In the end Itachi nails it and serves the plate, but Sasuke barely acknowledges the effort. The short plays as comedy, yet it's packed with symbols: eggs marked with the Sharingan stand in for the brothers' bond. It leaves the feeling that there was more care in that kitchen than Sasuke noticed.
