Quick recap

Almost a year after the Lord Ruler's fall, Elend is king of Luthadel and tries to rule through an assembly. Three armies besiege the city: his father Straff Venture's, Ashweather Cett's and a koloss horde. The assembly votes Elend out. Vin is shadowed by Zane, another Mistborn, who tries to pull her away from Elend. She kills him and marries Elend. The koloss break into the city, and several people close to the crew die. Vin takes control of the koloss with Allomancy, kills Straff, and the nobles swear fealty to Elend as emperor. At the Well of Ascension, Vin releases the power, believing she's saving the world. It was a trap: she frees Ruin. Elend, mortally wounded, survives because Vin makes him a Mistborn.
