Quick recap

In David Fincher's version, Mikael Blomkvist (Daniel Craig) loses a libel case against Wennerström and agrees to look into the 1966 disappearance of Henrik Vanger's niece Harriet. Hacker Lisbeth Salander (Rooney Mara), who once spied on Mikael, becomes his partner and then his lover. The trail leads to Martin Vanger, who traps Mikael in his basement. Lisbeth saves him and chases Martin, who dies when his car crashes and explodes. Mikael finds Harriet living in London under her cousin Anita's name and brings her back to Henrik. Lisbeth hands over the evidence on Wennerström and drains his accounts. At the end, she goes to give Mikael a gift, sees him with Erika Berger, tosses it and rides off on her motorcycle.
