Quick recap

Back in Gasskas, winter has set in and tension is growing between the locals and a big company mining the region's resources. A bridge is bombed and a young journalist is murdered. Meanwhile, Plague, Lisbeth's longtime hacker ally, is kidnapped, and she heads north with Mikael to find him. When her niece Svala goes missing too, the two have to dig up an old history of violence in the area. It's Karin Smirnoff's second book and the eighth in the series. The US edition came out in September 2025, after the Spanish one in April.
