Quick recap

Oblivion tells the story of Obsidian through Daemon Black's eyes. He watches the new girl move in next door and decides to push her away, because a Luxen near a human puts them both in danger, and he still carries what happened to Dawson. You see why Daemon is so rude, what he really feels for Katy, and how he handles the Arum coming to town and the trace of light he left on her. The events match the first book, with new scenes and inner thoughts. It ends like Obsidian: after the fight in the field, Daemon asks her out and gets turned down.
