Quick recap

In 2016, Fox rebuilds the duo with a new cast. Roger Murtaugh (Damon Wayans) is an aging detective with a wife and three children. Martin Riggs (Clayne Crawford) is a younger cop, a former Navy SEAL, who moved from El Paso to Los Angeles after his pregnant wife was murdered. The two become LAPD partners and work Los Angeles cases with humor and gunfire, while Riggs tries to cope with grief. The series is a retelling, outside the films' continuity.
