Unraveled is told entirely by Keefe and opens with the goodbye note he left Sophie. He runs to the Forbidden Cities, the human world, away from his friends, to protect them while he learns to control his new powers and looks for answers about his past. The book follows where he goes, what he does and who he meets during that time, while Sophie and the others investigate Stellarlune. Past and present unravel into hard truths, and Keefe learns that not everyone who seemed villainous or dead is what they seemed. Unlike Stellarlune, it doesn't end on a sharp cliffhanger, but it sets up part of the story that leads into Book 10, Elysian.
