Quick recap

In Atlantic City, Secret Service agent M.E. Froelich, who dated Reacher's brother Joe, finds him with a request: show how he would kill Vice President-elect Brook Armstrong. Reacher calls in his old colleague Frances Neagley, a Chicago security consultant, and the two find holes in the detail. Froelich reveals written death threats are reaching the team without Armstrong's knowledge. The would-be assassins kill two men who resemble the vice president as a warning, and Reacher dives into the case.
