Quick recap

Reacher digs pools by hand by day and works as a bouncer at night in Key West. A private investigator, Costello, is looking for him on behalf of a Mrs. Jacob, a name he doesn't know. Days later two suspicious men also ask after him, and Reacher finds Costello dead. The trail leads to New York and to Victor Truman Hobie, who for thirty years has lived behind a secret and a warning system spread across the globe. Dropped into an old secret, Reacher sees that someone is in a hurry to keep it buried.
