Quick recap

The French president survives an assassination attempt in Paris. The bullet is American, and suspicion falls on John Kott, a disgraced marksman jailed sixteen years ago for a crime Reacher investigated. Kott got out and vanished. A general sends Reacher undercover to Paris ahead of a G8 meeting in London. He teams with Casey Nice, a rookie analyst, and the two follow a gang of snipers without official support. What drives Reacher is the memory of Dominique Kohl, a subordinate he failed to protect from Kott.
