Quick recap

At 2 a.m. on the New York subway, Reacher suspects a passenger is a suicide bomber. He approaches her, and she shoots herself. The police want to close the file. Reacher doesn't: he learns Susan Mark was a Pentagon staffer and wonders why she left Washington just to die. With Detective Theresa Lee and Susan's brother Jake, he is warned off by everyone. The leads point to a congressman, John Sansom, and to Lila Hoth, who isn't who she says she is. Reacher learns she is dangerous and vows to stop her.
