Quick recap

Two feature-length cases after nearly four years off. In The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, Poirot has retired to the country to grow marrows when his wealthy neighbor Roger Ackroyd is killed just after learning who was blackmailing a widow. Japp comes to help, and the killer is the village doctor, Dr. Sheppard, who seemed the most trustworthy ally. In Lord Edgware Dies, actress Jane Wilkinson asks Poirot to talk her husband, Lord Edgware, into a divorce. Soon after, he's murdered, and she has a perfect dinner-party alibi. Poirot proves she did it herself, with an impersonator standing in for her.
