Quick recap

On holiday in Cornwall, Poirot and Hastings meet Nick Buckley, owner of End House. She laughs about having survived three accidents in a few days. Poirot finds a bullet hole in her hat and decides someone wants her dead. Nick has her cousin Maggie come to stay. On a fireworks night, Maggie is shot dead while wearing Nick's shawl. It soon emerges that Nick was secretly engaged to a missing aviator who left her a fortune. Poirot fakes Nick's poisoning to rattle the suspects. The truth turns everything around: Nick invented the attacks herself and killed Maggie, the real fiancée and heir.
