Quick recap

Ten years after Buffalo Bill, Agent Clarice Starling takes the fall for a drug raid gone wrong. Mason Verger, Lecter's only surviving victim, uses help from bureaucrat Paul Krendler to put Clarice back on the Lecter case as bait. In Florence, Lecter is living as Dr. Fell. Inspector Rinaldo Pazzi recognizes him, tries to sell him to Verger and ends up hanged and disemboweled. Back in the US, Verger's men capture Lecter, and Clarice frees him from the hog pen. Verger is fed to his own hogs by his physician. Lecter serves Krendler his own brain, Clarice cuffs him, and he escapes on a plane with his arm in a sling.
