Quick recap

In 1993, a year after saving Catherine Martin, Clarice Starling is still carrying the trauma of Buffalo Bill. Attorney General Ruth Martin, Catherine's mother, puts her on the ViCAP task force, run by the skeptical Paul Krendler. Her first case, bodies in the Anacostia River, leads to a conspiracy around a drug trial. Clarice faces down a militia in Tennessee, is abducted at a clinic and tries to help Catherine face her past. In the end, she's held at an animal testing facility that hides trafficked women. ViCAP raids it, owner Nils Hagen is killed by his own son, and the women are rescued. Suspended for two weeks, Clarice heads off to see her mother.
