A year later, Jamie Lloyd is mute and in a children's clinic. She can feel what Michael feels, and Dr. Loomis wants to use that link to find him. Michael survived and was nursed by a hermit. On Halloween night he comes back for her, and Loomis turns her into bait, despite everyone's fear. Rachel's friends and the Haddonfield police join the hunt. A man in black drifts through town unexplained. The film ends with Michael in custody and a surprise that raises new questions.
