Quick recap

Before Cobra exists, the future Commander is hiding in Cobra-La, Golobulus' underground city, working as a scientist. He smuggles in an artifact from the surface world, sparks a revolt and, to save himself, proposes a mission: turn Cobra-La into a world power. Up top, he starts using Energon to supercharge weapons. The Dreadnoks torture him, and Nemesis Enforcer tries to seize the discovery on Golobulus' orders, but the Commander saw the betrayal coming and kills him. In the end he hits M.A.R.S. factories, shows Destro an Energon-charged B.A.T. robot and talks him into joining the newly formed Cobra, while Golobulus sends troops to bring him back.
