Quick recap

Just before Christmas, the Society kidnaps Kendra and leaves a clone in her place. The Sphinx forces her to use the Oculus. She escapes with a magic knapsack and makes it back to Fablehaven. Patton's journal reveals where the Oculus and the Translocator are, and reaching the Translocator takes a key kept at Wyrmroost, the dragon sanctuary. Seth learns he's a shadow charmer and steals the centaurs' unicorn horn. The team enters Wyrmroost, survives the Hydra and the poison dragon Silleta, and gets the key. On the way out, Gavin reveals he is Navarog, the demon prince of dragons, and eats Dougan. The fairy dragon Raxtus eats Gavin. The team returns with the key, only to learn the Society has kidnapped Kendra and Seth's parents.
