Quick recap

A man named Errol Fisk offers help, but the grandparents never sent him, and Vanessa Santoro drives the kids to Fablehaven. There they learn about the Society of the Evening Star, which wants to open Zzyzx, the prison for the worst demons. Stan brings in three experts, Tanu, Coulter and Vanessa, to find an artifact hidden on the preserve, one piece of a key to Zzyzx. Vanessa is the traitor: she controls people in their sleep and takes over the house. Seth faces the revenant alone and nearly dies. In the inverted tower, Errol dies and the artifact heals the wounded. The Sphinx takes it away. Locked up, Vanessa leaves a note accusing the Sphinx of leading the Society.
