Quick recap

Beth, a guitar tech, visits her sister Ellie and Ellie's three kids in an old Los Angeles apartment building. An earthquake opens the basement, and the teenage son finds a strange book and three records from 1923. He plays them, and his mother is possessed. Trapped in the building with no stairs and a damaged elevator, Beth and the kids face their transformed family. It's the series leaving the cabin: the same evil, in an apartment block, with kids caught in the middle and a mother who becomes the worst nightmare.
