Quick recap

Varden leader Ajihad dies in an ambush, and his daughter Nasuada moves the rebels to Surda. Eragon and Saphira travel to the elven forest of Du Weldenvarden, where Oromis and the dragon Glaedr, the last free pair, train them. At an elven ceremony, magic turns Eragon into a half-elf and heals his back. In Carvahall, the Ra'zac take Roran's fiancée, Katrina, and he leads the whole village to Surda. On the Burning Plains, an unknown Rider kills the dwarf king Hrothgar. It's Murtagh, bound to Galbatorix by oath along with his dragon Thorn. He beats Eragon, takes the sword Zar'roc and reveals they're brothers, sons of Morzan. At the end, Eragon promises to help Roran rescue Katrina.
