Official premise: the Second Formic War spreads, and Earth's new defense forces face two enemies. One comes from outside, the swarm pushing through the Solar System. The other comes from within: nationalism, tribalism, paranoia and jealousy among humans themselves. Mazer, Bingwen, Victor and Lem have one goal, to find and destroy the Hive Queen, and little time to do it. The third book, The Queens, still has no date.
