Quick recap
One ball is missing, and the radar can't find it. Goku seeks out Fortuneteller Baba, Master Roshi's sister, who only helps those who beat her five fighters. Krillin, Upa and Puar defeat a vampire; Yamcha falls to an invisible man and a mummy. Goku beats the mummy, the demon Spike and finally a masked fighter who fights just like him: it's his grandpa Gohan, dead for years, back for one day. They say goodbye, and Baba reveals that Pilaf has the ball. Goku gets it back and uses Shenron to revive Bora, Upa's father. Then he travels the world alone for three years, facing demons and con men until the next tournament.
