Quick recap

Six months later, Debra has quit the force, works as a private investigator and is sinking into drugs and guilt. Psychiatrist Evelyn Vogel seeks Dexter out, says she helped Harry build the Code and asks him to find the Brain Surgeon, a killer who removes pieces of his victims' brains. Hannah returns, and she and Dexter pick their romance back up. The killer is Oliver Saxon, really Daniel, Vogel's son, who murders his own mother. Saxon shoots Debra, who has a stroke after surgery and is left brain dead. Dexter kills Saxon, takes his sister off life support, carries her body out to sea and sails into a hurricane. Everyone thinks he's dead, but he's working as a lumberjack in Oregon.
