Morton Schmidt is Greg Jenko's studious partner. He was the unpopular high schooler who becomes a cop. Jonah Hill plays him in both films.
In 2005, Schmidt is turned down by the girl he wanted to take to prom. Seven years later he becomes Jenko's partner at the police academy. In the Jump Street program he is sent to Sagan High School to find who sells the drug HFS. By mix-up he ends up with the science classes and gets close to a classmate, Molly, and the school dealer, Eric.
Two years later Schmidt is back in the program, at 22 Jump Street, to find who sells the drug WHY-PHY at a college. He gets close to an art student, Maya, by feigning interest in slam poetry, and learns she is Captain Dickson's daughter. While Jenko fits in with the jocks, Schmidt feels left out.
Jonah Hill rewrote the original script for the first film and was executive producer. The character's baby photos are real photos of Hill, according to Wikipedia.
