Judy Hopps is a rabbit from Bunnyburrow who wants to be a cop in Zootopia. Others doubt her, but she persists and cracks a huge case with Nick Wilde. Ginnifer Goodwin voices her.
Judy joins the ZPD and ends up on parking duty. She blackmails Nick into helping her find Emmitt Otterton and has 48 hours. When she says something that fuels prejudice against predators, she resigns. She returns, proves Assistant Mayor Bellwether was behind it and becomes Nick's partner.
In Zootopia+, Judy's parents race after her train, with her younger sister Molly riding on the roof. Later, Judy saves Fru Fru from being crushed by a giant donut.
A week after partnering with Nick, Judy finds a piece of snake skin and chases Gary De'Snake. The Lynxleys frame her, and she becomes a fugitive. Between fights with Nick, she learns that reptiles were driven out of the city and helps clear their name.
Zootopia is an original Disney story. Judy became the lead in November 2014, when the team shifted the focus from Nick to her. Ginnifer Goodwin was announced for the role on May 6, 2015.
