Branch

Branch warns that Poppy's party will draw the Bergens, and nobody listens. When the Chef attacks, the Trolls hide in his bunker. He tags along on the rescue, grumbling. Bit by bit we learn he lost his colors as a child: his singing led the Chef to his home and his grandmother, Rosiepuff, was captured. He swore never to sing again. At the lowest moment he sings "True Colors," and the colors return.

In the holiday special, Branch goes to Bergen Town with Poppy and still doesn't know how to be happy. When she walks away, he sings to cheer her up, pointing out where she went wrong. By the end, Branch smiles.

Two years later, Branch tries to tell Poppy how he feels and can't. He joins her trip to the tribes and argues with her for not listening to others. The Reggaeton and K-Pop Trolls capture him and he talks them into joining forces against Barb. Turned into a zombie by the guitar, he snaps out of it when the music is rebuilt. At the end, he finally tells Poppy how he feels.

On the first date with Poppy, Branch draws her name in the gift swap and panics. He builds a hair machine that explodes. With Tiny Diamond's help he finds a photo of the two of them and makes a scrapbook of their story.

A month after World Tour, John Dory shows up and reveals Branch has four brothers, former members of the boy band BroZone, and that Floyd has been captured. Branch was the youngest and was raised by his grandmother after the brothers split. He agrees to find the family, but the brothers argue again, and he tells them he spent his life alone. With Floyd saved, Branch and his brothers sing the Perfect Family Harmony and BroZone returns to the stage. At the end, he and Poppy share their first kiss.

The Trolls come from the Good Luck Trolls dolls created by Thomas Dam. DreamWorks bought the property in 2013. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake voice Poppy and Branch in all three films and the specials.
