Head of the family
In 1813, Anthony decides who gets to court Daphne and scares off nearly every suitor. At the same time, he's having a secret affair with opera singer Siena Rosso, whom the family would never accept. To his younger siblings he plays the father, whether they want it or not, and he expects the same sense of duty from them that he demands of himself. When he finds out his friend Simon kissed Daphne in the garden, he challenges the duke to a duel at dawn. His sister stops the fight, and Simon marries her.
Siena ends up leaving Anthony. Hurt, he announces at the end of the season that he'll find a wife, with no love involved.
