Quick recap

In 1827, Gregory, the youngest brother, falls for Hermione Watson at a country house party. Her best friend, Lucy Abernathy, tells him Hermione loves someone else and agrees to help him win her over. Through all those talks, Lucy is the one who falls in love, and so does Gregory, with her. The catch: Lucy is engaged to Lord Haselby. Gregory races to stop the wedding, but Lucy goes through with it. Later she explains that Haselby's father was blackmailing her family over her late father's supposed treason. The truth comes out, the traitor was Lucy's uncle, the marriage is annulled, and she ends up with Gregory.
