Quick recap

In 1977, a boy watches police beat Sherman Fields, a homeless man with a hook hand, to death over razor blades falsely blamed on him. In 2019, artist Anthony McCoy hears the Candyman legend from that boy, now grown, William Burke. The obsession takes over Anthony's paintings, and people around him start dying. He learns that Candyman is a "hive" of murdered Black men, starting with Daniel Robitaille, and that he himself was the baby taken the night Helen Lyle died. William saws off Anthony's hand, fits a hook and calls the police. Anthony is killed. His girlfriend Brianna summons Candyman, who kills the officers.
