Quick recap

Chasing Catwoman, Batman has his line cut and fractures his skull. The surgeon is Thomas Elliot, Bruce's childhood friend. From then on a bandaged villain, Hush, pulls the strings on Batman's rogues: Poison Ivy turns Superman against him, the Joker seems to kill Elliot at the opera, and a Clayface poses as Jason Todd. Meanwhile, Batman and Catwoman start a romance. Hush kills Batman's mechanic and is unmasked: he's Thomas Elliot, who faked his death. He falls into the water and his body is never found. The real mastermind was the Riddler, who figured out Batman's identity. Batman knocks him out, and his mistrust ends the romance with Selina.
