Quick recap

Sixteen years later, Jake leads the Omaticaya clan and is father to four children with Neytiri, including Kiri, born from Grace's avatar. The RDA returns to Pandora and brings back Colonel Quaritch in a Na'vi body, with the original's memories. To protect his family, Jake flees to the Metkayina, the reef clan, and everyone learns to live at sea. Lo'ak bonds with Payakan, an exiled Tulkun, while Quaritch hunts Tulkun to force Jake out. In the battle, the eldest son, Neteyam, dies. Jake and Neytiri rescue Kiri and Tuk, and the family stays with the Metkayina.

Hidden details

  1. Behind the scenesThe script Cameron threw away

Before the final screenplay, Cameron spent a year writing a 130-page script on his own called Avatar: The High Ground. He tossed it because it lacked the spiritual side and didn't have enough surprises. The idea became a comic book series set between the first film and this one.
