Quick recap

An American millionaire dies and leaves a huge fortune to relatives scattered across France. Soon the heirs start dying one by one, and each crime leaves tooth marks in an apple: the teeth of the tiger. Don Luis Perenna, a Spanish nobleman everyone suspects is Arsène Lupin, takes the case, partly because he's in the will too. The police suspect him, and Perenna has to prove his innocence while protecting the main suspect, a young woman he's drawn to. The investigation sweeps across Paris, with traps and twists right up to the truth about who wants the money.
