Quick recap

A break-in at deputy Daubrecq's house goes wrong, and two of Lupin's accomplices are arrested. One killed a servant; the other, Gilbert, is innocent, but both are sentenced to death. Lupin sets out to save Gilbert and runs into Daubrecq, a blackmailer who controls politicians with a damning document tied to a corruption scandal. The paper is hidden inside a crystal stopper. With Clarisse Mergy, the mother of one of the prisoners, Lupin tries everything to find the hiding place, while Daubrecq always seems a step ahead. It's a race against the clock to the execution date.
